Q: How many students are there in Milo?
A: Milo averages 120 - 130 students every year. About 15 - 25
of those students come from other countries.
Q: How many different ethnic groups are there at Milo?
A: Milo enjoys a diversity of students from other countries. To maintain an equal balance, Milo allows no more than 10 students from any one country.
Q: Do I have to share a room in the doom?
A: Students staying in the dorms can have a private room.
Q: Where is Milo Academy?
A: Milo is located in Southern Oregon, about 20 minutes east of
Canyonville and about 4 hours south from Portland.
Q: When is the deadline for applying at Milo?
A: Students are encouraged to apply before the end of May for the
Fall term, and before October for the Spring term.
Q: What are the winters like at Milo?
A: The winters are mild. The temperatures usually range from 0˚C to 8˚C from December to February. Rain is not uncommon, and it can snow from time to time.
Q: What can I do for home leave and vacation times?
A: During home leave and vacation times, the dorms are closed. For our Oregon students, they return to their homes for a break. For our international students, they have two options. One, they can have a sponsor in the Oregon area and go to
their home during these times. Or two, Milo can search for a host family for them at a
